The Commish Picks The Super Bowl Winner – GEAUX SAINTS!!

 There, I said it.  I’m picking the Saints.  Picking anything else is just plain un-American.  The Colts winning the Super Bowl against the Saints would be like having a championship of flavors at Baskin Robbins and Vanilla takes the title.  Milk is awarded most flavorful drink.  Salt wins best spice!  All of these things are probably true when it comes to most POPULAR, but seriously, who agrees?  I’ll tell you.  The duds.  I’m not a dud, and you’re not a dud.
 
I’m picking the Saints, against ALL odds.  They have a terrible defense, and the Colts have the most consistent offense.  Manning is the best game manager, and as he showed last week, you can’t pin him down with a 14-17 point lead and NOT have them come back against the #1 defense in the league.   Manning should pick this team apart.   But, like it seemed last week, the ‘Aints just CANNOT lose this year.  Every ball bounces their way, every call in their favor.
 
I’m not going to overanalyze this one, because the analysis would all point to the Colts.  The Colts are the chalk, and for good reason.  But I’ll go against the chalk.  (By the way, I’m 4-0 this morning on spotting the needed items on Dora the Explorer, so I’m on a roll.)  Sure, I lost both last week (well, the Vikes covered the spread, but who would honestly listen to me when it comes to ACTUAL betting…no one).  The Vikes did exactly what I had hoped, holding Brees to next to nothing, but fumbled away the championship.   I’ll probably need the Colts to do the same.
 
This stroke of genius came last night around 2:15 a.m. after about six Maker’s Marks.   It felt right, and I’m sticking to it.  Drew Brees will get his own statue in the famed French Quarter if he drags the Lombardi Trophy back to N’awlins and I’m going to go with fate.  If God had a reason to ruin the Vikes hope, I think he’s going to follow through.
