If The Colts Win The Super Bowl….

As Peyton Manning leads his Colts to another Super Bowl, he is helping create a family dynasty of sorts.  Along with his brother Eli, this will mark the 3rd Super Bowl appearance in 4 years.  The brothers are 2-0 so far.

The irony is thick in this Super Bowl.  Peyton and the Colts victory must come versus the new “America’s Team” and the team that Peyton’s dad Archie toiled at for years during his NFL career.

If the Colts win this year, it will be the third Lombardi trophy in 4 years hoisted by the family.  That’s quite an accomplishment.  Now we wonder if the NFL will rename the Super Bowl, the Manning Bowl?  Or perhaps they will rename the Lombardi Trophy in their honor?

The Manning Trophy…  has a nice ring to it.
